    Also be cautious when prising the ring retainer off when replacing the ring seals. I managed to snap the crown off the piston!
    It's things like this which make me think sometimes the if it's not broke don't touch it approach is better...

    Go the full kit with the alloy cover plate, much better than the OEM plastic one

    AirSeals4x4 supply a replacement plastic cap - their own design that's different to the original Hitcahi/Land Rover unit. Their reasoning is:

    Cute. The one I have is made from aluminium so traditional iron rust isn’t an issue. My cap hasn’t been a problem in two years and doesn’t look like it will be going forward

    Haha, funny sales pitch. Go the alloy one as it does not crack between the air fittings. Plastic was chosen because of cost,nothing else.
