I had mine changed out at 270,000 with genuine ones by my indi. Whilst in there a new oil pump, coolant manifold, oil cooler, water pump, belts and starter motor. The injector seats were re machined. I have done a further 10,000km since and running sweet.
over the years I have replaced all suspension struts, LCA’s three times, new compressor and other minor items. This has been more for reliability and preemptive maintenance than anything as I do 98% country miles and a flatbed ride is VERY expensive. That said it is still an absolute joy to drive long distances compared to a ZD30 Patrol I used to have. (Yes it did grenade at 0300 on the Newcastle expressway on my way home from Sydney at 147,000km)
The D4 is not a budget 4x4 but is extremely capable and has almost limousine ride comfort which for me, at least, makes the extra spend worthwhile.
