Thanks for the idea, however I have already purchased a second hand engine from TRS Adelaide, which is now sitting at the mechanic here in Hawker ready to be put in starting the 9th January. I also got TRS to put in a new timing belt.
    Cheers

That's right, you did say that few posts back and I clean forgot !

And I thought I was onto something !

I need to take up drinking again, 30 years of abstinence has done nothing for my brain or the satisfaction of fat ugly chicks.

To me that is a prime example of what the car market thinks of LR, they are so cheap in such an over inflated market its insane.
I love my D4, great car and does everything well but living with the constant nag that it could cost me 30k next time I start it makes ownership tiresome but what to do when anything that is remotely close to capability, comfort and size is more than double the price

My thoughts exactly and the main reason that I'm going Tojo rather than spend what I consider to be an excessive amount for a D300 Defender. My Disco won't be neglected while I wait and wait for its replacement though, being an oil nut it'll still get serviced as frequently as it always has been plus new tyres although I know it won't attract anywhere near what it's worth when compared with some of the overpriced stuff around nowadays.

Nah, here's a spy shot of their 4cyl upgraded version, based on the proportions of the TDV6, but strengthened,

I've often wondered why even Tojo themselves thought their engine was just a little bit poxy, to give it that designation.

Hope it all goes smoothly Roundawhile
