Interesting question.
We have a Territory re-powered D3 ourselves, seems to be going along ok.
I have searched a few times as to reliability and haven't found any that have failed after fitment into a D3.
There doesn't seem to be any logic to this though, as they are the same motor.
The only "unknown" is if there was an assembly error at the plant LR got engines from, or an issue with the cranks they used vs the Territory.
More likely would be that they will fall, bit there isn't a big enough sample size of re-powered D3s with the Territory engine.
I also think that the failed 2.7 seem to be about 95% oil pump related, so less of an issue than what the 3.0 has.
No doubt someone with much more experience than myself will say that just as many of the 2.7 break cranks as the 3.0.
