    2.7L TDV6 oil pressure light

    Hi All,

I've just done an oil change on our 2012 2.7l TDV6 D4, I now don't have an oil pressure light.

Is the sender anywhere near the oil filter? Could I have accidentally unplugged it doing the filter?

To be honest, I can't remember ever seeing it, but I don't drive it much, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

    Back under the bonnet tomorrow.

The d4 oil pressure light only comes on when the engine loses pressure for 4 seconds when the engine is running. If you have a scan tool you cav check that it's off
It doesn't leak oil, Its sweating power

So if you turn on the ignition without starting the motor you don't get the oil light???

I have a GAP tool, I'll have a play tomorrow.

    The owner manual states,
"Illuminates as a bulb check when the ignition is switched on and extinguishes when the engine is started.

Yes, it's forward of the filter at the front of the vee. I'd struggle to see how you could accidentally unplug it however.

The light will light if it’s unplugged I’m sure. The light also shows when you press ignition- contour your foot on the pedal and just press the button to enable the ignition. Make sure you see the oil pressure light lit. Then repeat with the brake pressed and make sure it extinguishes once running.

I just double-checked mine, and it doesn't come on. My previous d4 was the same.
If you want to check it, ground out the wiring to the pressure switch and start the engine.
