    Red face D3 service manual

    Hi all,
I'm glad there is place for D3 owners to (perhaps) assist each other.

I'm looking for a hard copy version of a D3 service manual. I have the 3600 page PDF version, but what I am looking for is the more usual "paper" version that will give me quick guides to basic servicing.
I have just taken delivery of a used late 07, D3, 2.7 with 180,000k on it (dealer serviced).
It looks like a new one, and evidently has spent its short life as a "pilot" vehicle, travelling long steady runs up the bitumen with nil 4WD use, so I figure it couldn't be any worse than buying an urban version which has less k's but had stop/start all its life.
HOWEVER.. I do live 1600'ks from the nearest traffic light (far North WA), and if the D3 stops, or needs a basic service then I will have to deal with it...so does anybody know of a "paper" version service manual that I can buy?
Also has anybody bought spares from UK? Any guides as to cheapest and best suppliers? Already had one group charge $80 to send 2 kilos of spares....which took the joy out of the good prices on the spares.
    Any suggestions appreciated, vbrab

    Welcome to the site.

I recently enquired about workshop manuals and the result is that a paper version does not seem exist - unless someone has printed one off from the Pdf.

Shipping from the UK is normally pretty expensive.

I would also look at a Faultmate or a Hawkeye.....being so far away.

    2006 D3 S Door Lock Problems

A friend and also a D3 owner like myself ask me for some advice yesterday about Locking/Unlocking issues on his 2006 D3 S.

It would appear that every time the vehicle is parked out in the sun (Central QLD +35 degrees C) the driver side door will not unlock or lock until the vehicle has cooled down.

My 2008 D3 SE has never done this even when parked next to his in the sun for the same period.

Anyone experienced this before? or Have some advice to offer?

    Regards

    H

    Buying a 2005 HSE LR3

Just about to buy a 2005 HSE LR3 - have a D4 and love it - had Isuzu 3.9 County and TDi Disco and TD5 Defender 130 (nuts hey?)

Anything I should look for in the HSE LR3 before I take the final plunge?

    Jim.

    D3 with 265/60/R18's

Has anyone fitted these tyres instead of the 255/60/R18's and if so did the new spare fit in the under body recess without modification. It looks like it would be a tight fit on my 2008 SE

    Mr H Tyres

    Hi Mr H,
My D3 has the 265's on it and yes a little squizey for the spare but it does fit with or without the towbar on...
