I guess it depends on what you tow. We have been using towing mirrors for years on the Prado's but towed the Ultimate from Adelaide to Port Vincent today for a couple of weeks relaxing and eating whiting. Did not feel the need for the extra mirrors which was a pleasant surprise. But if you tow a block of flats I am sure they are mandatory

    Regards

We ordered last Thursday and they arrived Monday morning! Total cost, including Aust. Post was $230.

Followed the instructions and soon had them pieced together and adjusted to suit. In future all we have to do is place them on the original mirror and tighten one screw pad ? 30 seconds and we were ready to go.

MOH is very impressed with the quality and performance ? no vibrations and a great viewing area.
They look good too, no straps etc.

If you are looking at buying these for a 2014 Disco you will need the Size 4 'special' bracket. This size is not listed on the website so you must state when ordering, and it is an additional $10.

If anyone would like to see them fitted I could try and post a photo.

    Happy travels ...
I likewise finally chose Brusngaard (4 Point) Mirrors. Have towed our van to the West and back. I think they are simply sensational on our RRS 3.0

    Orangepop,

Can you please upload some pictures of the Brunsgaard mirrors? I have asked Tezel for some but as of yet no reply and would appreciate some more feedback as we are due to fit some to our MY14 D4 in the coming weeks.

    Thanks in advance
    Scott.

    Clearview Mirrors

I have just had a pair of Clearview mirrors fitted on my Disco4, and they are absolutely brilliant.

The small convex mirror gives a clear view, eliminating blind spots, and the big flat adjustable shows just what you want to see behind you.

I found moving back to a flat mirror a bit disconcerting for a couple of KM, but I soon got used to it.

I have not towed with them yet, but I can already tell that they will be better when towing than anything else I have used.

    Highly recommended.

I didn't think clearview mirrors were available for D4 yet.

Where did you get them from?

    Any pictures?

I got my mirrors from Clearview, they just used the process of fitting the mirrors to my D4 for the how to video.

I expect they will appear on the web site soon, and I know they have stock, so just give them a call.

BTW, I believe they are now available for D3, D4, and RR Sport.

Brunsgaard mirrors are OK but not foolproof. I must be a fool then.

I purchased a pair from Kel in Perth. I have a 2014 RRS and the mirrors are a b....d shape maybe not the same as the D4.

The brunsgaard mirrors were quite fiddly to set up but I finally got them sorted. The 'hook on' system seems to be quite robust and as I finally had them set up and fitted they were secure to the point that it felt like a decent tug on them would pull the mirror surround off the car. Good I thought. My first trip with them, on a choppy road the RH mirror said goodbye after about 20 minutes. Up till then all was well. The mirror was relatively stable wasn't jiggling about that much, gave a decent view etc. But it gracefully fell off into a line of vehicles behind with a line of vehicles coming at me in the front with no run off area to pull off on. I don't think I was pleased at the time. I stopped up the road where I could, and swapped the remaining mirror to the right side. It was all firm and snug. Proceeded off down the road and stopped about every half hour to check. The mirror, the remaining mirror that is, seemed happy enough and as said appeared to be secure enough that with a good tug you could pull the mirror housing from the car. After about 3 stops we are travelling along, still on our high quality choppy bitumen roads, when here we go the remaining mirror also takes a swan dive onto the road. A few vehicles coming the other way managed to run straight over the top and I managed to stop this time. I run back to pick up the bits, its all intact and a bit bent. Back to the car, offer it up the the mirror, have to back off the adjuster pad and it fits back on and adjusts up as tight as a button. I cannot force it off. I cannot understand how the b....d thing came off. Hence the comment I am a fool.

So I sincerely hope that someone gets some amusement out of this. My friends have in the telling, cause I think that its the only way I am going to get my value from these mirrors.

By the way, does anyone know of any mirrors that might fit to a 2014 RRS that don't actually fall off. So far Milenco and Brunsgaard have failed. The Land Rover strap on accessory is not suitable even though they think that it is. ???

    Cheers, Simmo

    Simmo,
I am not sure where you are located, but I now have a spare pair of Milencos WITH an additional strap that have worked well for me on my D4.

Basically I do not need them anymore now that I have fitted Clearviews (also available for the RRS).

Had a look on their website and they do state they are coming soon.

However, I had a look at LC200 and they are $795 for those, so would expect similar pricing for D4.

Sorry but I won't be buying $800 after market mirrors. I would prefer to have a look at the Brunsgaard. $800 is a lot of money for towing 3-4 times a year.

    Good Morning all

I have a set of ORA brand mirrors on my Disco. They have worked well
on the Disco and on my previous a vehicle Nissan Patrol.
A check with Mr Google show there are a number of different types. I have
the clip over the vehicle mirror type.
I hope that this info is some help.
    All the best Kev
