Buy an extended warranty
No, chance it and pocket the $2k
Trade-in on a D4
I have just purchased the extended warranty through Southern Cross Landrover in Toowoomba, dealing with Luke Teys. The whole process was excellent and at a significant discount (~30%) due to being a forum member.
I deemed it essential to get the warranty as I have just had a new TDV6 motor replaced under the original manufacturers warranty which runs out in 3 weeks. I still have 2 years remaining on the lease.
I deal with Smart Salary and was able to claim the GST under the lease agreement.
Can't recommend Luke highly enough, the warranty is well worth it in my opinion.

As mentioned in my post before, Luke has been awesome in his customer service and also in price. IMHO he deserves every deal that is coming to him.
I was running these figures through my novated lease agreement and when I mentioned the warranty to the packaging company they said they also sell the Allianz product and can match the price. If it was just a matter of matching the price then I would have stuck with Luke (Southern Cross). However they are now beating it by a margin worth thinking about, and are willing to offer it to you for the savings price.
If you can wait 2 days then I can post the price and also the contact details. She does not want to get all the calls when she hasn't got the official login to the quoting system yet, so hold on and I will post ASAP.
Quick update: The rep sent me an e-mail this morning to say that she has got the login but realised she hasn't done the training for the system. She says she'll do it this afternoon and be able to issue official invoices asap. I'll post the details (including a price) as soon as she lets me know.
Hi all, I have a confirmed PDF invoice from Meaghan Roulston of Platinum Direct Finance of $2243.75 (inclusive of GST & Stamp Duty) for a new D4 3.0 SE, (Options: eDiff, window tinting).
She is willing to offer this price to AULRO Members if you mention "Land Rover Website" and/or my name (Edwin) as your source.
Please be aware that this price may vary slightly as she is newly trained and this is a new product for her, and has not done many quotes (ie she has done 1). Quotes for the warranty extension for used cars may also vary slightly (she hasn't done any yet) - so post up your experiences, I guess.
