Has anyone tried the Yokohama Geolander A/T-S in 265/60 18?
    Yokohama / OUR TYRES / Geolandar A/T-S

They look like they have a bit of aggression to them but claim to be quiet on the road too. I've had Yokos on a Triton before and was very happy with them.

BFG don't have that size on their Australian website. Wonder if we can get it shipped in?

They are not on their website but are available.
Fiendishly expensive but I am checking out importing directly from the US.
At this stage this equates to about $330 per tyre including freight against approx $550.00 from Australia.

    Regards

Not personnally, but from the reports on a D3 these would be my first choice if I can get 18" rims that fit my D4.

I thought you could still fit chains if you went to a max of 265mm wide.

I got some firmer pricing from Tire Rack today.

265 x 65 x 18 BF Goodrich All Terrain (true all terrain & light truck)
    $246.00 ea x 5 = $1230.

    + freight (Fed Ex)$ 363.28 (5-6 days ex US)

    Sub total $ 1593.28

    + 10% exchange rate $160.00 approx

Should be about $1760.00 landed in AUS.

If you ship in 2 consignments avoids GST

I was quoted $550.00 each at Bob Jane - Preston.

    Significant savings!!!

Can anyone see a problem with the size?

    regards

    Chuck

IIRC (& often I don't!) they can rub on the raised section at the front of the rear inner guard where it budges to make room for the protective metal guard for the rear a/c and/or heater hoses. The metal guards can be hammered flat and the plastic slit and welded flat if you don't have rear a/c & heater.

Will total freight cost be the same if the shipment is split?
