Cool New member checking in - 08MY RRS TDV6

Hi guys, new to Land Rovers, but no stranger to web forums. Just bought a chawton white RRS MY08 TDV6. So far I'm loving the car. It has 163k now (already put 5 on it) and is genuinely immaculate. I know that word gets thrown around but this is like new!

I live on a largish property in the Adelaide Hills, all of my mates have Patrols, Cruisers and Tritons. The RRS is certainly a stand out (as is my nogaro blue Audi S4) and is already proving itself, particularly with the females (and by that I mean, they love a good ride! Compared to a GQ Patrol, the air suspension on these things is pillow soft!!) Very keen to get out and do some more 4wd'ing in it.

I'm a self servicer and have been with all my cars. I know Solitiare (our Audi/Land Rover dealer in Adelaide all too well and in short, they aren't touching my cars!!) The RRS is not as fussy with its mechanics as the S4 bi-turbo. So I'm looking forward to contributing and getting advice from you guys.

    Rich

Welcome to the forum - and the wonderful world of LRs Rich,
sounds like a "nice ride" - how about some photos so we can all enjoy it.
Don't forget to check out all the good gear that Gordon makes on the GOE site (Green Oval Experience) you'll need a few of them for your new machine....
    cheers

Attached a few photos - has the 20's, sunroof and some little custom trim bits that the last owner put on. I like it all except maybe the grille which makes it look a bit too pimpin' in my opinion. I might try to find a toned down grille on fleabay. I've checked out Gordon's site already - some good gear on there, I'll definitely consider it.

Hi Rich, welcome to this forum. I know you from over at ozaudi. I still visit there just to see what is happening in Audi world - I had a 2008 TT (Stage 1) and then 2009 S3 (Stage 2+).

I remember your post over at ozaudi when you bought the RRS and was wondering how long it would take you to pop up over here.

Hope the car continues to impress. I've had my My12 D4 for almost 5 months and 6,000 klms - still loving it.

    Cheers

    Dan

    Rich,
If your after another Grill & Side Vents to possibly colour match or paint your own style.
Let me know, I have a spare sitting in the garage. It is the std grey, but as said you can do what you like with it.
Can also supply Black badge to replace the green one in it.

    Cheers

Actually Rich if you just follow sniegy down to the beach on day you can have all the bits & pieces you want 'cause he hides his keys in his shoes when he goes in the water so it's sort of a big garage sale (without the price tags) heh heh heh

Hey Rich, congratulations on the car!

If you want to offload the grills let me know, I just picked up an 07 Buckingham Blue with the standard fare and I'm looking to change it up a bit

Hello mate, I am also in the Adelaide Hills on a smallish property (near Kersbrook). I'll keep my eyes open when I'm driving (for a change) and give you a wave.

You'll know its me if you see a white D4 with a rear wheel carrier.
