    Seriously

No, I insulted it, he was just inagreement, not all of us have to like it because its a Landrover, in my opinion it looks like a brick, although its visual appearence does not detract from its off road capabilities which are excellent.

Relax mate, I haven't insulted anybody, (well maybe the designers)
And how do you insult someone's drive anyway Unless they didn't get their tee shot past the ladies markers, or they hit a cover drive straight to mid off, I don't think that's possible.

IMHO they are more bricklike than any other Land Rover, and I don't think 'most' people on here drive D3's.

I think they're an awesome vehicle, I never said otherwise, nor did I make any disparaging remarks about drivers/owners.
I just think they look like a van and/or a brick

    Exhibit A

    Exhibit B

    Exhibit C

    Exhibit D

In answer to the original question the V6 Sport is a good motor and a very good ride, far more practical.
But the 8 is awesome and will give you a horn every time you drive it

Most of the people on this site drive landrovers. Why not add to your selection of photos a defender from the same angle, a D2, whatever, you get the same look.

You think the D3 looks like a brick, you think Landrovers look like a brick.

Nah, my RR P38A looks like a brick with a sexy slope at the back... and so does the RRS.
It's no coincedence that the RRC, P38A and RRS have the sexy slope at the rear. It is also no coincedence that Disco's lack the sexy slope. How else could LR justify the price difference?

As for the RR L322? Sure I want one for their sheer capability and luxury, but they are not an attractive looking vehicle, and neither is the D3.

Call me old fashioned, but the P38A is still the best looking RR other than the RRS.

Deep breaths Forest, big deep breaths.......relax and take a moment to enjoy ................your BRICK!

Nice comparison Fen, compared with the frog truck the D3 almost looks rounded.

Most of us would prefer a TDV8, but the TDV6 is much cheaper and cheaper to run.

The V8 is much more exciting but most of us don't really need all that torque.

I didn't buy a Disco 3 because I would have either thought it was second best to a Range Rover Sport when I was driving on road or second best to a Defender when I was off-road.
