900 kms at average 106kmh 11.5l/100km - how good are these cars?

Just did 900km Perth to Carnarvon cruising mostly at 130-135kmh on the GPS - a stop-to-stop average of 106kmh, with a load of camping crap on the roof rack, average 11.5l/100kmh. How good is that?
And what an amazingly comfortable ride. Really, really brilliant.

PS: yes, I had a radar detector:-)

Do you realise that you have just admitted to speeding, by quite a margin, on a public forum?

Yes, diesel. And yes, I was speeding. Just like they do in the Northern Territory.

No it was just the dash readout but still pretty impressive considering we're loaded to the gunwales with three on board. And yes, radar detectors are still legal in WA. One of the few things the nanny state hasn't got around to yet.

TDV8 4.4 with about 22,000kms on the clock.
