    HF & auto tune antenna

I have a Barrett 550 & auto tune antenna that I would like to fit to the 08MY L322, with no bull bar.

Any suggestions on mounting locations for the brain box, head unit and antenna? I am reserving the rear right space of the cargo area for a 2nd battery and compressor.

I will probably get a roof rack and could mount the antenna in the side of that using a fold down mount.

Each part of the HF set up is bigger than a uhf. The cup holders are also different in my L322. I don't know where to fit it.

In another thread I showed a UHF antenna install on an RRS at Cooma.

Here's the same RRS and its HF antenna install. I wonder if the idea is transferable to the L322?

One reason I've never fitted my Codan has been finding a place to fit the head unit in the P38A. One day - I've had the Codan for over 5 years.

would still be deemed "illegal" as its a forward facing projection from the front profile of the car.

Could/would if be plausible to make a pivoted roof rack mount? aka put it up when you are in the bush/using it and fold it down before you forget about it?

The auto tune antenna is currently mounted to my 110's bull bar using a folding mount. I mostly fold it down when travelling.

Maybe on a bracket off back bumper? Shouldn't draw attention from boys in blue then?
