Blinking infotainment affecting Radio & Cd

    Hi,

    On my third RR.

Love them ( although I confess I have a land cruiser also ).

Anyway the RR is a 2007 and starting to get the odd niggle so expertise appreciated.

Current one relates to the infotainment system.

    My stereo occasionally works perfectly.
9 times out of 10 though it is affected by what seems to be a cut in the supply & to the music, so you hear a split second of music then it cuts out. This Repeats.
Same thing whether on Radio or CD.

I notice the orange circular button light always flashes when this problem occurs.
When it works fine, no flashing.

All the other instrumentation read outs seem to work fine & are on continously like MPG , distance etc.

    Any pointers appreciated.

Try a full battery reset...seems to be a good solution for strange computer glitches

I'd be looking at the unit behind the LH panel in the boot - there is a Digital Sound Processor and depending on what ICE system you have will determine which unit is in the back. The unit in the dash is really just a reader, the sound is produces by the unit in the rear. A good diognostic setup will be able to comunicate with it.

    Hi,

    1. Tried battery disconnect and reconnect.
    2. I have also looked at the components in the rear and tried to unplug and replug the wires.

    Unfortunately no change.

Is there any other recommendations before I consider bringing it to Land Rover
    along with my open wallet.

If there are any car audio or others that may have knowledge of this error, either on the Sunshine Coast or even Brisbane I would appreciate a number or recommendation.
