Alarm system going off and not understood

The alarm system on my TD L322 which I have had since new has gone of several times over the last few days whilst sitting in my line of view so nobody tampering with the car.
I can shake the car by jumping on tow bar and the alarm does not go off. I think the tilt sensor needs a few degrees change for it to cause an alarm.
I have sprayed insect killer to interior in case an insect is setting it off but still it goes off.
It is happening after car has been driven.
Once it has gone off in my driveway a couple of times after arriving home it settles down.
It went off today after driving around 4 km and parking the car in my view.
I have measured between tyres and guards in case suspension drop was setting off a sensor but no drop can be measured.
Again I do not think that would cause enough angle change to set it off.
New front airbags fitted a few months ago.
    Has anyone experienced similar?

Could be FOB battery getting low !

Check the bonnet switch ! it might need cleaning or adjusting if loose. Disconnect the switch and see how that goes

    Laurie:Thx for responding.
I disconnected bonnet switch this morning and so far so good.
I will report further in a couple of days.
Have you had personal experience with this issue?

    Smile

I did have a similar problem, but it was on my old D2. Mine was FOB battery low and on another occasion I had the bonnet lock off centre, but that alarmed almost immediately.

The alarm on my L322 went off several times over 2 nights (and I assume while I was at work during the day). Ended up moving it and leaving it unlocked. Over the next few days a very large huntsman was spotted inside. He was removed, not gone off since.

I'm not familiar with the L322 alarm, so this might be wrong, but we did have to replace the switch under the bonnet for the alarm on our Defender because a faulty switch was affecting the alarm and it didn't always work properly when the bonnet was closed.

That story reminded me of when a huntsman took up residence in the wife's Mazda. She was driving along one day and he appeared on the dashboard. She slammed on the brakes, parked, grabbed a magazine and beat the poor thing to a pulp on the dashboard. Then she refused to touch it, drove home, and made me clean the mess away.

Uteman thanks for the compliments, glad to help. I like almost everyone here has saved money, time and frustration from advise and help from members on this forum. This is why every L322 owner should be a member here.
