I can't comment on the seals etc, but one comment I would make is if your going to this trouble I would be definitely looking at replacing the plastic timing chain guides. They will break eventually as their plastic, and are know for causing a lot of problems when it happens.

Seems like a lot of work for a small rocker leak.

After 30 plus years of playing with German based cars, I can honestly say the more you start removing to repair a simple job, the more likely it is you'll keep finding more that has to be done. Unless you have annoying leaks from all those areas, or some other cause to disturb them, I'd leave them be.

That old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" wasn't coined for nothing. These days they refer to it as 'minimal intrusion'.

Ultimately it's your ride, so if you feel the need to tackle the above best of luck.

Many dealerships are happy to confirm what parts you'll require for those jobs, even if you decide to get them from elsewhere. Some will even put you in contact with the right sources.

I use Liqui Moly 10w-40 Super Leichtlauf synthetic in my 4.4, and have never looked back. Slowed a nasty visible oil leak from a split drive shaft seal, and the motor has never run better.

Trying to stop all the leaks in a 4.4 as it ages is a thankless task. Mine doesn't use any oil, but obviously dribbles it out of a few places. Nevertheless, all I find on the ground is the odd tiny spot. Easier to wipe off the underside every oil change and live with the leaks until they become problematic.
