    The features on the iidtool like being able to record live data and then save and email it and the ability to graph things to view later. I found is a bonus over the Bearmach hawkeye.
    Also being able to mutli info displayed on the one screen is an advantage also. I think the support for the iidtool is better also.

    It must be different on the later years, on my 2003 it sits inside the cubby hole for the OBD and doesn't protrude. I have the IIdtoolBT which is a dongle and it hides in the OBD compartment.,
    or do you have the older version with cable?

    thanks, that is what i wanted to know
    what do you use with it, i see it dosent work with windows, do you use your iphone???
    am i right in thinking it is locked to the vin

    I works with Android phones and tablets, yes vin locked for your vehicle . There are some vids on the net showing it's use.

    Gap's support is great! A couple of new features were added because I needed them when retro-fitting an e-diff and adaptive cruise control to my L322. For a fee the tool can be used to update the software in a control module (eg gearbox) to the latest level.

    Here's the OBD socket location on the MY08 L322. The problem is more the cover hanging down when open.
