Mario, I was wondering about L322 batteries today after reading a similar thread in the D3/D4 area. So I looked at RAVE and found the battery should be a lead-calcium:

Interior lamps on rear tailgate could be staying on .hard to see with cargo lid in place. There is talk about blower resistor or the headlight wipers not parking and drawing current. You may have to pull some obvious fuses and check current draw . Regards Pas.

Hmm the picture you posted on the link is what I have in there at present, got it form Battery world just over 12 -18 months ago.
The top stickers are exactly the same.

That battery has a 3 year warranty. Try contacting YHI Power who are, I believe, the importers.

Now where is that receipt for proof of purchase? Hmmmmm.
Hi Ron , It may not be the fault of the battey if there is parasitic power drain though.

Well it started to fail more often lastest was the next morning after cold nights, it would not crank, charged up and when warm it was ok. A real PITA when I have medical appointments to attend and have to worry about will she start or not.
It only lasted less then 2 years . I went back where I purchased it from and they tested it and it was down on cranking volts.
I replaced it with a dearer Yuasa batttery. dont know about the 3 yrs warranty on the YHI one as dealer didn't go into it. He said they were made in China ,but never had a issue before.
Last night was cold, I did a battery voltage test before i started it this morning and the new battery had 12.1 volts.

Mario, as for your original question, you need a good CCA rating for a cranking battery - don't be so concerned about it's amp hour capacity - that's more use on an auxillary battery where slow constant current draw is required. IIRC the L322 needs minimum of 750CCA so the 880 you had should have ben up to the task.

As for a good calcium battery, I've always used Delcor for cranking batteries and find them very reliable - I had one in my L322 for many years without issue although I did run one of Traxides kits and an auxillary battery up the back which actually gives the cranking battery a much better charge after a few months and after fitting it, never had a HDC inactive fault, etc on the coldest of mornings from lower battery volts.
