I think it will depend on your van, we have a 2025 D5 and a viscount wild shark semi off road. Our hitch was a little low and I machined a bit of round 20 mm thick to lift the DO 35 pin up and still had a enough thread to secure it and the van sits pretty level.
Be careful with playing with tow hitch heights as if you have independent suspension, bogie only,dchanging the tow hitch height will affect the loading on the axle groups as they are not true load sharing.
I set ours up on our own weighbridge and found that tow bar height also had a bearing on tow ball down weight.
With a tow ball weight of 260 kgs it increased rear axle weigh by 330 kgs
An option might be to get the van manufacturer to put the van hitch lower on the A frame if possible.

how much did the tow ball height effect the weight distribution, if only a small increase in height removes a significant bit of weight of the ball in t would be helpful for me
