    Buying Range rover sport

Just saw model update for velar. Seems it's getting the same treatment as fpace and the fuel tank is growing from 63 litres to 82 litres. Plus seems engineers have got more power out of the td6, with 275ps and 625nm. Wonder why this wasn't debut in range rover sport. I'm assuming it's an upgrade rather than the ingenium 6 that is being touted.

But don’t mix the td6 with the sdv6 which many do. If I remember right there was a time when the sdv6 has less power in oz than the uk.m

    Buying Range rover sport

Finally drove an sdv6 hse. Must say the engine did feel slightly more willing to get up and go over td6 in my discovery (5). Im still yet to get behind an sdv8 so have built sadly, 28 variations on the website. I was forever looking to have one in yulong white with black pack and only the 21s fitted. However as I've seen more real photos and in person, seems they are to small and a darker colour would show off the body. Still building.... People's thoughts on colour?

I have yulong white but no black pack, and 20" wheels. Its a nice enough colour, but I wouldn't necessarily spec it over fuji white. It's just what it came with in my case- I would have preferred green, but had to take what I could get. If you are intending any offroad use, you would be better off with 20" instead of 21" with the increased side wall, and potentially more tyre choices. 22" wheels had issues with wind drone at speed when they first came out - not sure if that is cured. I have not driven on 21" wheels, but handling on 20" is excellent to say the least and I am not sure you would gain much going to 21" or 22" apart from bling factor.
If I had more $ at the time I would have gone for a sdv8, but the sdv6 is still brilliant from my perspective. The sdv6 has slightly better w/kg and nm/kg figures than the sdv8 on paper, but the sdv8 still has a better 0-100kph time than the sdv6. Whatever you get you will be .

Mine is fuji white with the black roof, it had 22" wheels which look great but I swapped them out for 20s which don't look as good but give a much better ride.

I like the white and black but I see a lot around that are the same if that is a concern.

Had the loan of a sdv8 hse for the day (l494 model). Needless to say the engine choice was made then and there. Tossing up between Carpathian grey and black pack of just the optional black roof and autobiography wheels.

If you want Carpathian grey, you may want to get in quick, there is talk on the UK forums that colour is being deleted for MY 19, it certainly has been deleted for velars. If you order new now, you may well end up with a MY19 car. Carp grey is still showing on the Au online configurator (MY18) , though , but that may not be accurate.

Thanks for the heads up about the Carpathian grey. Looks like it is on the way out. But dealer couldn't confirm when.... Seemed surprised to find that. Once he finds that out will order hse dynamic sdv8. With heated/cool seats, panoramic sunroof, black pack. Trying to see if I can get svr black rims as personally like them the best. Surround sound as well. Not sure about what interior colour, but if I can't get Carpathian grey, might switch to farallon black with vintage tan interior.
