When I was purchasing I was confused by the term Dynamic. I wanted the Dynamic handling pack, which was what it was called back then in the write ups. I did not realise that Dynamic was all about paint and look features until a dealer pointed out that the SDV8 came with all the performance features standard. So for me it was about getting the features I wanted didn't care about colour and I had already worked out that many of the features in 2016 did not work that well and weren't worth the asking price.

My bonus was the 2016 SVD 8 does not require add blue , I have purchased some 20 inch wheels , previous model RRS , and run Coopers on them. Current fuel but is 6 litres per 100 less than my previous diesel R50 and this is a good thing.

    Best features:

Sound system is best I've owned, I have the Mid range. Gearbox , changes like hot knife through butter , and performance is enough to loose your license.

    Issue to date:

Failled turbo replaced, was and electronic issue.
Vibe on front brake application, running Different pads, not supplied by dealer.

Like doing some work myself, and can say parts are much less expensive than the R50 especially if you don't shop at the Stealers.

Download the 2017 Land Rover(R) Australia Brochure

Should give you access to the most recent spec sheets. m

Attended dealers today and built sdv8 and sdv6 dynamic. Needless to say there is a bit of difference in price. Went for what I have come to call the std options, heated/cooled seats, panoramic roof, yulong white with black pack. Park pack, tpms. Still not sure whether to go surround sound, massage seats and duo interior colour.

Don't know what the surround sound is but if it is the full 25 speaker version for me it was a waste of money. I have the 18 speaker system which does play surround and it is worth the upgrade if you are into fidelity and such.

If you intend to do any towing, you may wish to add the tow hitch receiver $1k (or tow pack $2k) as that is not standard equipment.

Thanks bails for that info. I think the first level surround sound is the 18 speaker one. Forgot to play around but in current disco 5 hse system is great. You think it's worth upgrading?

Did I mention there is the SVR option? haha...... When asking how much delay an SVO color would add, no one could really give me a date. Seems not many people asking the question. Happy ordering. m

Yeah svr option would be great if I won lotto. Sdv8 seems to have enough performance without the guilt of to big a fuel bill. Think the choice of options with wheels especially is hard without seeing them in person
