    Discovery 5

FYI, while speaking to dealer, told me of recall to fix the gears in my discovery 5 inner tail gate. Told me to leave my car there and gave me an l494, sdv8 (one he lent earlier). Filled it up and told me to have it until job was done. This was 4pm in the afternoon. I was called the next day when it was fixed, washed and detailed. This is either the best customer service I've ever had (not that it's ever been bad at my dealer) or best sales pitch ever haha

Some people report that black cars are difficult to keep looking clean. I have not had one, so wouldn't actually know.

One of my other cars is black and whilst I wouldn't say it is difficult to clean it definitely needs more care to look smart, hence I wasn't keen having 2 black ones! But I recommend Ceramic coating on any colour. I will even check if they have a non-gloss for classic cars. m

It does appear that Carpathian grey is on the way out. However dealer could give exact time when this would be happening, but assumes my19 update. Also there is rumblings that td6 is going to be making a departure, not meeting new euro standards so there will be to tunes of sdv6. No idea on what outputs might be and this is a stop gap until the new straight 6 ingeniums are up and running. Went to place order but dealer suggested holding off until new financial year, apparently new slots open up and could effect delivery date?

They also scratch easily, and if it is a deep one down to the white underpaint,it sticks out like dogs you know whats.

i will never get a dark coloured or black vehicle again.

The latest vehicle is appliance white, common as,but no worries with small chips and scratches, handy if you are going to do a bit of off road driving.

    Buying Range rover sport

Just a quick question, placed deposit finally on range rover sport sdv8 and can't wait. But curious if the 105 litre diesel tank could be retro fitted? Assuming the chassis hasn't changed much would it be such an issue? I have asked this also in D5 section as wondering if I could also fit one to td6 to increase range

I also am just about to order an SDV8 and am surprised to see that the 105ltr fuel tank is now an 86ltr tank. A bit disappointed.
Mine will be Fuji White. The only options will be Adaptive Cruise, 825 Meridian and tow hitch receiver. That's really all I want. My current 2014 has been a reliable lovely car but the SDV8 will be a long termer for me.

discojools, what spec did you get with your sdv8? Hse or hse dynamic. I got hse dynamic with climate seats, panoramic black roof and 22inch rims (black pack) upgraded to surround sound and pixel lights, Carpathian grey. Also upgraded to 22way seats, mainly because of colour choice but the missus also wanted massage seats, which I didn't option on discovery.

Just HSE for me. Haven't ordered yet. Still pretty disappointed with lights. The matrix pixel leds just don't give much distance. Great on the sides though. Very hard to find a dealer with the either of the 2 upgrade options on a demo car. That's my only worry at the moment.
