    Oil Leak 2019 RRS diesel V6

    Hi all
    New to this and not up on mechanical terminology.
    Car always serviced by RR Doncaster never any issues since new.
    Recently took it to local workshop for its 72 month service.
    Noticed an oil leak a few weeks later took it back and they accepted fault it was apparently faulty oil filter.
    Replaced it and washed engine and stone tray.
    Oil leak still present took back 4 more times.
    Left it with then they took off stone tray full of oil and said housing and gaskets cracked due to over tightening oil filter initially.
    All was replaced no charge.
    7 days later its leaking again.
    Im at the end of my tether its going back again on Monday this is return #7.
    Any ideas or recommendations I need this fixed.

    Hi RRS,

    Probably pay to introduce yourself to everyone on the forum etc etc.

    As regards your oil leak, everything you have mentioned is possibly correct regarding overtightening etc.

    However due to the design of the engine "valley" it's possible the oil leak has been fixed and what you are now seeing is residual oil from before the fix that couldn't be cleaned out... It's also possible it's still leaking, but it could definitely be from earlier.

    Good chance it is the oil cooler in the valley of the engine.

    Needs to go to an LR specialist,if you provide your location,someone will chime in with one in your area.
