Haha, dont we all [emoji23]
Historically JLR are always ahead of the game tech wise, I don't think by any means anyone will be disappointed in that regards.
It hasn't been that long really in the UK, last defender although expensive was probably the best ever in many regards and was released for sale in 2018 delivery early 2019.
Defender works V8 70th Edition - Land Rover Classic - Land Rover
Here i think last defenders where being handed late 2016 early 2017, so its like a 3 year wait so no doubt a few would have had to jump onto something else in the meantime.
For me I would much rather they test it thoroughly and get it right then rush it through.
Agree, they 100% would have looked at feedback here and everywhere else when concept was released, before going back to the drawing board.
Man I love a good tubbed 130 [emoji7]
On that note:
"Land Rover has said it will finally produce a new-generation Defender by the end of this decade, and that it will comprise the full gamut of model derivatives currently offered (wagon and ute).
This is despite the fact it's likely to be based on an aluminium-intensive monocoque architecture shared with other Land Rover models."

I do miss her but she had to go.
That last emotional/psychological cut with my old life.
The new owner pestered me for eighteen months before I relented.
The D2 is quiet, comfortable, lovely on the bitumen....
But it ain't a Deefer.
But it at least the tinnitus isn't as bad now! [emoji23]
S'funny ain't it Rick. That is exactly how I felt about leaving my humble D1 behind in the dealer's car park, & I was talking to a FOXTEL tech yesterday who felt the same about his old motor Bike, a photo of which kept popping up on his mobile & I don't think the poor guy will ever get over his loss. Seems there are Motor Bike Tragics as well as Land Rover ones.
Btw,I resemble that remark, you ain't never met or heard my 'er indoors doing her block.[biggrin][biggrin]Quote:

Being in the trade you are in, that winch would have been a great help in getting you out of the ****, if you get my drift.[smilebigeye]
[emoji23]
That did make me laugh out loud Sir Desmond!
There's a reason I'm a single bloke these days! [emoji23]
The winch was used back in the farm days for pulling cows out of dams, straightening fences, pulling the bullbar straight on the then SWMBO's Patrol after another roo strike. (She insisted on the shiny alloy 'bar rather them the advised steel one....)
Pulling Prado's out of sticky situations....
But I can't recall actually using it for tradie use? [emoji848]
I was thinking along the lines of awkward clients as it happens, Rick.[smilebigeye]
Just another thought though, while you may have not actually met 'er, you may have still been in the 'Cone of Noise' even up there. What would we be, a couple of thousand ks apart?
You may have put it down to a Cyclone Warning Siren.[biggrin]
Would you please not use my title or I may have queues at the front door of the Manor wanting handouts.:Rolling:
She's alright really but bloody hell .................................................. .................................. some days..[smilebigeye]
