Failure to abide by these guidlines can rapidly reduce capacity.   OK for the average commute,  but not for distance. Yes it will be frugal, but 12 hours on your home solar for 400km or range is not going to get you around the country in a hurry.
The times you are looking for aint here yet. 
If you want to save the planet - walk. If you want to drive to work/shops, maybe get a little EV - you certainly dont need a big 4x4 for that.
			
		 
	 
 Looking at the JLR range which has a 177kw 2.0 diesl, a 221kw 3.0 diesel, a 280 kw 3.0 petrol, tell me again why you would want a V8, a EV will be welcomed by the Sloane Ranger market segment, which will be bigger than the overlander segment, who should be more than happy with 177 kw 2.0.
