Neither can i, but the purist rivet counters will want manual, and small diesel, and beam axles, and uncomfortable driving position, and most of all, a handbrake that cuts off the circulation in your legWon’t be retro...

I hope there is a TDV8 version, just to blow off the 70 series Toyota fans. Would be fun to watch them splutter.
Seriously I hope JLR absolutely nails the new Defender and it is a huge success.
I'll be a starving pensioner living on Wheetbix and dog kibble and unable to afford one until they are a decade old, but that's okay.

Not sure, i think landy is airspring/shock in one?

V8 natural with 8speed auto would do the trick
Tdv8 would be great with all the other options they are talking about, not sure there would be a biz case for it?

Well if my right arm isn’t crammed up against the window, my left calf isn’t impaled on a handbrake lever and my left foot isn’t on fire, I’m not interested....

Funny that, I don't actually have any of those problems and I'm tall and lanky. Do you have to be a deformed pygmy dwarf with a twisted spine and arms longer than your legs to be uncomfortable in a Defender?

Drive a RRC then a defender, chalk and cheese for tall guys, the leg spread is real.

I absolutely love driving them, but yes, these are the issues I’ve encountered. Wouldn’t stop me for a second owning and driving one. 👍
