Sorry, that's not a small car you're looking at - check out the size of the drivers. Unless the test drivers are all midgets then it's at a minimum the size of a D4. On top of that, and for the consideration of current Defender owners, it's a $#$%#$ wider than the Defender, in the same way that the D4 is. By my count the D4 is 12.9cm wider than the current Defender and these pilot builds (not mules) are clearly waaaay wider than a current Defender.

    Padding

If you pull the padding off these pilot builds and check the design cues, it's going to look an awful lot like the current Defender, including the chamfered bonnet and round headlights, so the "won't be retro" claim is bit of a stretch. It's clearly also going to have a stepped roof.

I really hadn't thought about the Defender Sport until recently, so now I'm getting very curious about how it might vary from the full size Defender.
If there are both Defenders and Sports, in various body styles, engines and levels, it really is going to be a whole family of vehicles. Sounds good.

Let’s hope they haven’t done any cost cutting on these new models due to recent lack of sales, which has probably caused a lack of revenue.

They need vehicles that sell well.

Unlike the D5 which hasn’t done well and volume wise,is their lowest selling model.

It really does look very similar to a D4 and perhaps smaller.

Which is why the D5 doesn't.

Doesnt look small to me, maybe a touch shorter in the boot, but combined with longer than current fender front and back doors + wider stance, will seem much bigger imo

Just topped up my SDV6 with Ad-blue which lasts over 10t k's. 5min job and not a drop spilled. I can't understand how people get worked up about it TBH. Oh and I got my Ad-Blue for free from the dealer. m
