One of the reports said the D5 used some aspects of the modular platform. It's modular, so it should be flexible for various vehicles.

Weighing in on the 3 seats across the front....

    Pie in the sky......

a third seat in the front will require an airbag at the least and maybe side bags just like the driver/passenger have.....

what sort of passenger restraint will it have?

BR , don't just guess and rave on about it ....

There wont be 3 seats across the front as you have already claimed.... the dash as you have illustrated makes no allowance for 3rd passenger safety....

There have been a few independent sources (myself included) that have mentioned a centre front seat. This snippet of info has been around for many months and I have seen nothing yet to disprove it.

I’ve also heard from our local dealer when the GM and sales managers went to England they saw the new Deefer in the flesh and said it will have 3 seats across the front. Maybe not std but it was in a car they saw. They also said it is an awesome looking car but I guess that’s in the eye of the beer holder! lol

Correct, however I'm not sure about the all part.

Good question on safety, however i haven't heard anyone yet dispute it will have 3 front seats, even heard bench will be an option.

Maybe a airbag that goes out and sideways for passenger and middle.

What dash have i illustrated? You talking about leaked dash pics? If so that wasn't me.

All of these issues were dealt with in the Honda Edix with no problems. I used to drive one - it was like driving a Defender because you were hard up against the car door, like you would be in the back seat of a normal car. Both middle seats could be pushed back so that you weren’t rubbing shoulders. Seat belt was in the seat, as it is for the middle rear D4 seat.

I think you are on the money there with the Honda, 3 front seats with the centre folding down for an armrest etc

I'm hoping they also bring the middle row fold flat disco 5 seats across.

All pictures are of the Honda edix.

D3/4 middle seats are much better than the D5 seats which don't fold that flat, i hope they dont put the gear shift in the dash like that honda or the spy shots we have seen.
