I wish they made the wishbones longer, longer links do help keep geometry more consistent at the extremes of bump and droop and can help maximum articulation too. (when everything else is right)

And I hope that sensor is for testing only as it's asking to get ripped off on the smallest of twigs being thrown up from a track.

I thought that it was for the ejector seat.

There's also a close-up of the instrument screen in that set of photos:

That does look a lot like the instrument screen in the Bosch photos. And is that the bonnet of a car just behind the cable? Note the digital speedo ...

Yep but in miles rather than Kilometres.

Not sure what you mean about bonnet?

I'm wondering if that's part of the image of the Defender in the Bosch photos that's hidden under the cable coming across the dash.

    Here is 2021 rangie

Notice the comments, re BMW V8

Owner of this account is very connected in uk LR circles by the looks.

Relevance to defender is that Rangie is also MLA, so effecient hybrid V8 SVX defender could be a possibility down the track Won’t be retro...

The news on the BMW V8 is not new. It surfaced around July 2016 and got another run in the news through October last year.

What makes you think that the Defender will get a V8? I reckon they'll reserve that for the upper end rangies.

Yep we have discussed that rumour/news on this thread.

The discovery 5 SVX was going to be a V8.. they dropped that as part of cost savings recently along the the RRcoupe.

For the SVX and also to compete with AMG Gwagon at the high end, they are going to have to do something special and i imagine the straight six will be available in the normal range based on whats avail in the Range Rover sport HST in states already. (See pic)

Looks like until then the "P400" defender will be my pick Won’t be retro...
