    Thanks Tombie. Nice to know LR try to keep up to date & it has to be the way forward. Some plastics seem to be like Armour plate, or vice versa if one is out of luck.

    I guess it is possible to chuck in a bucket or two of Kevlar to the molten plastic mix before it solidifies.?

    As is the bottom panel on the lower tailgate of the D4.

    In fact,the rest of the upper and lower tailgate,and bonnet,on the D4 are an alloy of some type.
