There are these pics with a winch online. Hardcore Land Rover Defender Comes To Life | CarBuzz

I haven't put mine on yet as I haven't got the car. You've got a few options when it comes to the winch . The basics are all similar. You can either do a bullbar setup, or an A-frame setup. I'll attach a few pics from the parts system to show you the difference.

Ignore the coil springs in the parts diagram as it's not applicable if you have air suspension.

The only mods anyone has ever done with regards to the winch is using the landrover winch cradle. Some of those posts have imported the bullbar but used another brand or different winch setup.

The majority of those mods are all oem parts and products.

Lucky 8 LLC make some good rock sliders and a rear ladder. The oem ladder isn't compatible with the front runner full sized rack.

I wouldn't get side steps as they decrease your clearance.

Some very important things to remember:
    1) the 12v bus bar under the bonnet runs to the battery and needs an appropriate current regulation.
    2) the oem winch pack from JLR includes and over current protection CT which is not included in the retail winch setup. If you aren't careful you can blow out your wiring system.

If you have any questions please ask, as I have researched this to the ends of the earth.

Agree with you dontwakemeup and zilch.

LR salesman just lazy and not too interested - especially as vehicle is still some 2 to 3 months from delivery ( thou they have confirmed vehicle has been built ) . He may have not received his commission yet. on the plus he does make good lattes

I went to spare parts and they easily found both undershield and bullbar kit. So will order these now in case there is delay and they need to come from UK. Like many things it life, it just depends who your talk too.......

I've ordered all the accessories at cost and will fit them myself as it's pretty straightforward for most things. The Bullbar and Winch require a bit more work but I'll be saving around 10k total in labor charges for everything.

The undershield part number is VPLEP0436. It's very nice quality and made of aluminium and a steel bracket. Retails appx 950.

There is a good fitting video by powerful UK that shows how to put the undershield on. It's easy. Land Rover Defender Front Undershield Fitting Instructions / review VPLEP0436 - YouTube
JLR also helpfully have a site with instructions for all accessories. LAND ROVER ACCESSORY FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

I'll upload a photo of the undershield soon. In the meantime here is the bullbar. 60mm tube construction. A bargain for 1242 retail.

What's the story behind the roof? Do you know if something was dropped on it or was it a stress issue? Not happy I'm sure.
    Cheers,

the Gent concerned, Steve Firth did a trip to the arctic circle which is well documented on youtube and the FB owners groups. He cannot be certain, but
a good chance a rock thrown up on some of the unsealed roads by a truck in the canadian wilderness areas. What was interesting he mentioned his
rack was well stacked with fuel, boxes etc, so baffled on how a rock could have thread its way through.. one of life's mysteries

    Kakadu Nat Park

Just returned from a wonderful trip to Darwin and including Katherine, Kakadu and Litchfield Nat Park but of all the places in Kakadu National Park came across a brand new, all new Defender 110, sorry for no pics but couldn't believe my eyes of all the places to see one. Well done to the owner.
