G'day all,
I managed to mark out and drill the holes to mount the brush bar this afternoon in between the rain

then took them up a couple of drill sizes to 1/2"dia

it now looks like this

two mishaps this afternoon, I lost the button off my 1/2" Skill drill that holds the trigger in
, I can't see it anywhere
and I have put muscles out in my lower back
, ****** old age catching up,
cheers Dennis

Looking good (I would expect nothing less!)
Are you going to get the military police signs made up and attach them or just attach them for 'occassions' or shows?
Sorry about your back, hope it comes good soon...( do you know someone in the nursing trade that could help?

Military Police sign
G'day All,
Digger I purchased this one off ebay in 2010, hung it on the Land Rover and said it's finished LOL

I will have to make some fittings to attach it to the brush bar.
This afternoon I have cleaned and prepped/etch primed the bumper bar, it's now ready to be painted DBG, hopefully tomorrow afternoon I will be able to paint the inside of the bar first, then maybe Saturday?? before I get another full day to do anything, then wait a few days for it set rock hard, then paint the edges white etc.
My back has come good, but I still haven't found the mising button off my 1/2" drill
, anyway cheers Dennis
ps must not forget to buy 4 new bolts, 4x 4 1/2" x 3/8"dia UNF to hold the bumper bar in place, when I go to Newcastle on Thursday with my client,,.

G'day All,
Mrs H, I have multiple saw horses and they are hard to tell apart LOL, they all look the same, many pieces of cardboard in a similar state.
Today I moved this Land Rover, but it wasn't as simple as that

it wouldn't start
, it would only run if you poured small amount of petrol down the carburettor, which led me to remove the fuel line from pump <<>> carburettor, Hmm no fuel, I had put 5 lt's of fuel in, anyway I pinched a fuel pump off a spare engine and I had it running about 1 hour later, whats all this got to do with 113-372, well I had to move 1 x No5 trailer, Land Rover in picture above, then 112-501, and 112-655 (gunbuggy!! SHHH!!) before I could move 113-372.
Well I suppose the only good thing to come out of it is that I won't have to fiddle with 110-850 before Anzac day (I hope), anyway I washed 113-472 down as it was quite dusty, it now looks neat n tidy although not finished

I have ordered 3 fuel pumps from the UK as spares, I will pull down the faulty one n see why it malfunctioned!!, and there is always tomorrow cheers Dennis
ps I have not long washed up etc, after spent a frustrating 90 minutes trying to get the bolts that hold the bar to the chassis fitted with nuts etc, I only managed to get 1 nut on

, my fingers are too short and my arthritis isn't helping either,,.

G'day All,
Not a great deal happening here, mainly due to work commitments
, but I have managed to do some minor tasks.
The front bumper bar has had the holes drilled n tapped to accept 3/16"W screws to hold the ARN,the ends painted white,

the Military Police sign is attached to the brush bar with 3 brackets that I knocked up this afternoon, they have since been grit blasted and painted etc

I now need to find 3 x 3/16"Whitworth round head screws to hold the plate to the brackets, I don't think that will be much of a problem
, anyway 113-372 sure looks better in the picture above, than this one below LOL

surely you agree with me!!
anyway cheers Dennis

Damn arthritis!!
G'day All,
As above, it's been giving me hell since I had fitted 3 shock absorbers to 113-372 some weeks ago. I looked at the job and thought about it for a minute and came up with this little gem about 5 minutes later

a short piece of gal/pipe, with a 5/16" dia hole drilled right through, then slot cut with angle grinder, rough finish with a file, get a big G clamp get down n get with it, line it all up and this is what it looks like

next fit the split pin, remove tools, tap split pin to spread it open slightly, job done,

no effort/straining/cursing etc, wish I had thought about it a few weeks ago!! all shock absorbers now fitted
my hands are thanking me for that LOL cheers Dennis
tomorrow the door seals!!!
