    Thermostat Housing

    Gday everyone,

I have had the head off my 1963 88" GS due to gasket issues. I took the head in to get refaced and tested, and when it was returned the thermostat unit was pulled appart.

As i wasnt the person that pulled it appart, im not quite sure how to put it back together. I have given it a go, but after attmeping to flush the engine (by putting the hose in the bottom pipe) no water would flow out of the top pipe. Instead the thermostat housing leaked

Have i done something wrong, and does anyone know where a visual breakdown of the thermostat unit could be viewed?

Any responses are much appreciated. Thanks. Will
