Have now contacted Ferrari-Maserati Sydney, Maserati no longer stock the item in Italy and all remaining stock for cars of that era have been sent to warehouses in the UK and USA where they maintain older cars. They are getting a price for one out of the UK but I may just save the markup and try the UK direct.

The problem is that the Biturbo part is the best match for my purpose so worthwhile trying for the part.

That is the pot calling the kettle black. Toyota parts prices make your eyes water. Worse than, or on a par with Ford.

Today's quote, $800 for a pair through Maserati ex-UK. Yuk

Have ordered a rotor from the US, lets see how that one goes.

For some reason I thought this was going in Ikea not Gog, and was thinking you had a truck engine, tractor gearbox, race car brakes and aircraft aluminium body panels But then you don't have an LT95 anyway...

No I'm waiting for Sheldon (the Grubb) to do a run of MSA Isuzu adapter kits to use on Ikea and it will have the X-eng hand brake.

Gog has a four speed series box with helical transfer and transfer ratio 1.53:1. It took a day and a half to drive from South Melbourne to Sydney. 8.00am left Melbourne, arrived Goulburn at 11.00pm and slept, then Sydney around lunch time next day, it makes the vehicle unusable on long runs.

There are no overdrives for the Series helical box.

So Gog is getting a Disco1 R380 with Ashcroft short bellhousing kit, the Rover 6 cyl flywheel housing/engine adapter has been modified to accept the 4cyl diameter and bolt pattern the same as the Tdi200 and 2.5 Rover diesel (where the short bellhousing kit was made for). On the back of the R380 will be a 110 LT230 with 1.41:1 transfer (the Disco 1.211 LT230 goes to Ikea) this will make Gog about 7% higher in gears 1 through 4 and 33% higher in 5th (25% O/D +7%).

The problem is that the overall length of the Short R380/LT230 is about 150mm longer than the series box, there is not enough room behind the box to be able to remove the drum from the hand brake and even the X-eng kit caliper would foul on the cross member. Hence the need for a stepped rotor of a larger diameter.

I now have in my hands a Maserati brake rotor from the USA, just one day after finding that a 1983 Toyota Crown rear rotor had a better match!

    Cadbury is so common.
What about "Neuhaus", or for a South African feel, "Beyers"?
