They definitely charge GST on the buyers premium as well. I read it on the Gray's site when I was looking at the first auction in this thread. Otherwise, as you say, they would be in court pretty quickly trying to explain that one...

Can anybody tell me how much the Perentie FFR and GS went for at the last auction please?
Thanks
Howard
G'Day Howard. Replace the underscored scored section of the address (/lot/____) below with the lot number 0001- 0065 (ish) and you will get ALL the info you need. From memory the drivable GS/ FFR were lot #35-65ish

I hope this helps.

That's great guys - really appreciate it.
Wish we knew for sure how many more are to be released this way so we could get an idea of the way prices may go in future...
Keep drooling over the FFRs but I need to sell my Defender and S2A FFR first

Howard, with around 3000 Perenties delivered to the ADF, there are LLLOOTTSS more to come!
For me, there are about 6 vehicles in the whole fleet that I would bid on, sentimental reasons only.
Take the RFSV ("that strange high-roof thingy with dual tanks", lot 0042)
Whilst it the second only to a SAS LRPV for mods from standard, you could easily build something better for about $10K based on an Isuzu county or even a converted TDi.
It differs from the County mainly in the 4pinnion front diff, split rims and Galv chassis and firewall (as do all Perenties). An isuzu County with rear locker will out perform a Perentie easily.
The remainder of the mods are simply heavier suspension and more storage bins. Mil-Spec in this case (and truthfully, most cases) does not mean 'Un-obtanium' axles/ drivetrain and mystical cross-country ability.
That bit comes with the training ; )

I don't know your motivation for purchasing, but if you are just looking for a capable bush vehicle, save~$10 000 and go private! I am.
I hope this helps.

When I was in the police I used to come across this quite a bit with some of the young blokes who bought "ex-chasers"! Except for a small batch of VKs that were modified by Holden, the only thing the police did was take the hubcaps off!
There were so many blokes that refused to believe us though.
