There were only 268 posts on this subect in this thread alone. 122 posts on the REMLR forum and other threads hear and there.

There are too many perentie and military vehicle enthusiasts out there for an auction anywhere not be noticed for more than a few hours.

But thanks for letting us know even if the auction had already closed.

Like to get my hands on an m113, As i understand it, the NZ issue was the transfer of the vehicles from NZ to Australia and the US DOD stopping it.
In this case these vehicles would be staying in Australia.
I looked into bringing in an English FV432. Steel version of the M113
My customs broker did the enquiries and as an agricultural piece of machinery there was no problem.
of course this was going to cost $, somewhere in the range of $20K by the time I got it.
my thing is though I know the M113a1 and it is a fun machine, not to bad to work on if youve got the gear and the engines are simple.

    have to wait and see

....saw a Unimog and a pair trailers (unknown type) travelling south along the F3, on the back of a drop deck, at about 5.00pm yesterday (Sunday 03/03), so maybe the next sale isn't too far away.

    ....no sign on M113's though

    Matt.

No (more) M113 will be sold to the public, the ones here will be turned into gate guards, targets, museum pieces or coke cans, the same as the NZ and Canadian ones. Its a treaty on the sale of US military equipment. If we want F35s or any other piece os US made military hardware we will have to abide by the treaty.

BTW many of the NZ ones were ex-Aussie M113 FSV (Saladin turrets)

BTW there was a FV432 for sale in Perth and another FV437 for sale in Young, but dont know the current status.

Dreamers. whose gonna cough up those $'s?

When i saw them on ebay i nearly sent the following paragraph to that Oxley mob.

Wanna sell my 1985 County Spec 110 on consignment ? I would be happy with half what your asking for this ex-army beast. It has only 88,000km's on the odo, FSH, a two inch lift, on road alloys X 5, off road steels X 8, a winch, full length roof rack, rear cargo barrier, 4 doors, a hard roof, 9 seats (all with seat belts), air conditioning, a mega bass stereo system and a 32 inch TV/DVD player. The paint is fresh and there are plenty of late model upgrade and accessory parts all over it.

And i forgot about the power steering too! Oh I took quite a bit of license... The Count is still in pieces awaiting refurb!!! Exciting to think of the possible value in him though? Err probably not. What's that line from "The Castle"?

    Tell him he's dreaming.
    Hoo-Roo,

    Dave.
