Thanks for that. Not exactly bargain prices

I was expecting more in the $30K range, so I am obviously way out of touch with reality!

I passed a mog this afternoon on the Princess Hwy, St Peters. It was being driven by a Female soldier with a civilian passenger - he had a big grin on his face. Young bloke too.. would appear to be one of the auction vehicles.

for me its my retirement rig for just the two of use but........i would need to allow for the following on top of the purchase price

    • convert to hard top.......
    • install power steering
    • extend fuel range
    • de-militarize
    • respray
    • and then get it up to touring/overlanding spec
as a mate pointed out it work out better pouring the money into my existing defer.....which is making more sense by the day

Thats the reason I would only be interested in a 6x6. My 110 turbo Isuzu has more going for it, except the Mil one has the Galv chassis, and lets face it the standard chassis if looked after will last as long as you will be driving the vehicle IME.

Right on JC. Judging by those auction prices I reckon ours just went up about $5k in value.

That's what I like about older vehicles, values go up not down

If you still want to see the item pages after the auction ends ... like even now, add them to your 'watched items list' in 'My Grays' by pressing the 'Watch This' button on the individual item page ... before the auction ends.
Takes a little time to add all those Landies, but you can still access them all, including all the pics, well after the auction is finished.

Oh, and in case you didn't know, your 'watched items' page refreshes every minute near the auction end, so you can see the progress of all your watched items.
    Hope that helps.

    Cheers.

Sure is making the old Stage 1 look good!

Thought you all might like to know I came across an on-line auction (graysoline) a few days ago in Minto that sold some military vehicles. Included in the aution was a couple of the army Unimogs, two 6x6 Macks, a number of atvs, motorbikes, lightweight Landrover trailers and also Landrovers. They sold about ten Landrovers around the 1988-89 model, some with trailers. Included was a 4 door wagon with only about 8000k's on the clock which went for around $19000. There was a 6 x 6 ambulance, a 2 door hardtop and a number of 2 door soft tops, most of which were in good condition with low k's. The 2 door soft tops averaged about $13000. This auction did not appear well advertised. If I here of any more up and coming I will left you all know.
