    They had research that most prospective buyers didn't want the camo scheme, so you can bet one of the modifications will be completely re-painted vehicles without tac sign holders or gardening tools at premium prices

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    that would be just like the Oz government, privatise the process of privatising public assets...

    So who is going to pay for the paint job? tax payers? It just gets worse doesn't it? too many cooks, not enough broth. the english army seems to be able to crank them out the door without all the omphaloscopy. (gazing at one's naval...thanks incisor)

    I highly doubt that - no way they would consider it cost effective on a 4x4 perentie that would be worth somewhere between $5k and $10k. Plus - if they respray the body, what do they do with the canopy??? [and the interior?].

    A panel beater would charge ~$10k for a colour change respray inside and out.

    Anyway, seriously, I can't imagine who on earth other than us weirdos here would want a Perentie when you could get something faster, quieter, and so on. If there are that many to be sold, I really wonder where they'd all go.
