One thing for sure, if I had a lazy hundred and seventy kay, I wouldn't be dropping it on a tarted up taxi.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Plus other costs , this would put a nice payment down on the mortgage. Easier to live in the flat than a car.

I cannot see these being a Classic - (Classic waste of money).

The high priced HOs, Chargers E49s and Toranas are classics only because they underpinned the Muscle car era and Series Production at the time.

Maybe we should have all bought the Mitsubishi 380 as it was the last of the line there - I think not. What about the last Camry - lets get them.

    Nah - overpriced.
    Not at all.
That is simply your opinion, you are entitled to it of course, but you are obviously not an enthusiast.
Depends what your interests are I suppose. I don't think I would've bought one either, but it's a damn fine car, with some damn fine Aussie engineering behind it, and it is the LAST one,...that alone makes it special,...maybe not to you, but to Aussie car enthusiasts who've got the dollars, it is special.
A friend of mine will actually be getting one, ..loves his toys, late thirties/early forties, but he runs a successful business, works VERY hard & long hours, and He ain't no Bogan.

It's pretty damn special and Holden/HSV can be very proud of the last of the Commodores.

It'll be a huge collector car. Last, biggest, fastest and best.

    Respect

You could indeed buy a GTR, which is a totally different vehicle, it is a sportscar, & a very fine one, but it has a very limited application, and ac carry only two people,..it also has enormous maintenance requirements, and it will have nowhere near the retained value of this car.
Wanna drive to Sydney & back?,....Having driven a GTR, I know which one I'd rather be in.
