Left Rear Sensor out of Range - Help!!

Can the sensor be fixed in some way or form?

Had a look yesterday and noticed the sensor bars bent from a little off-road trip recently with the out of range fault occuring shortly after. Is it a simple fix, or a new sensor on the cards? Help please.

Remove the sensor and straighten the arms in a vice. Remove the other sensor as well and swap them over L<->R.

The sensor is a variable resistor with three contact 'fingers' on three separate tracks. Because the sensors can be used either side, the track length is twice as long as it would otherwise be if they were side-specific...

By swapping them to the other side the arms are rotated through about 120 deg and the contacts then slide on the hitherto unused portion of the track...

(I'm assuming the sensors have not been swapped previously)

Recheck your calibration and you should be "good to go"

    Hope this helps
    cheers
