Thread: P38 and disco 2 rear bar

Old mate up here who will be doing mine, will do 2 1/2 bars with swing-aways for that price! He's got a shop in his back yard and won't be making moulds, but could probably replicate.

If he is willing to build more sliders in the future I would be up for a set around jan/feb next year. Maybe earlier if I get some teaching work.

3k sounds a lot, but in 5 years time you'll be glad you spent it.

Definitely. I think even in standard form, a 4wd should never have a spare wheel in a location that:
A) Damages or has the potential to damage the tyre/rim - including caking it in whatever slop you've driven through, or
Is inaccessible without having to empty the cargo area.

As with everything, my bar has been pushed down the list until probably May now. I will ask old mate if he could do sliders as well. Although the price you've listed is a good price for sliders.

Rear bar wise, I was going to run a tube style bar, but have since decided I want plate. So it'll have twin tyre carrier and LED lighting as well.

Funnily enough the thing which gave me the "ouch" was when he said he needed the rangie for two weeks!

Yep. Thats a thing that's making me hesitate as well. The length of time he needs it, which means I would need to go up and back twice. 10 hours of driving!!!
