my P38 is better than new
I took the chariot down to wash it at the local manual car wash joint. I smashed the dam thing into a pole and damaged the guard and bonnet and bumper. I rang the RACV and they said drop it off to bayside AR and get it fixed.
So I dropped it off, 2 weeks later the guy rings me and says "you know how u had some electrical problems" ( when I dropped it off I told him dont lock it as it sometimes wont unlock) I said "yeah whats happened". he says " well there all gone now we had to replace the fuse box", I nearly dropped the phone. That was one on my job list, to pull it out and follows Rons tip to resoldier all the dry joins but I'd been putting it off.
Anyhow I pick the buggy up and FMD everythings perfect. Even the airconditioning,it wasnt blowing cold air and now, ITS WORKING its blowing out ice cubes. The airbag fault is GONE, the central locking UNLOCKS all the time. Its even bloody 10% faster off the mark. Blew away a crappy nissan pootrol and Lamb Cruiser tonight on the way home!!!!
I am a very happy camper and I cant speak highly enough of Bayside Accident repairs in Warrigal road. They rang me every couple of days to let keep me informed, payed for a cab there and back. Best service I've had for many years. Job well done fellas.
I love my P38 best car I ever had.

fuse box fix
my p38a air con wasent working once ,took to coopers in st peters and adrian he conected the computor up and found it was fuse box.i said how much to fix ,told me 600 hundred parts n labour (2years ago) i asked whats computor showing wrong with it ,told me showing fuse box burnt out.i told him doesent look burnt out to me .i pestered him to check better and found one yellow square relay (part no AMR 2547 air con fan 1 RL13 was the cupret also air con fan no 2 RL 14 is beside it so changed that two) burnt out which makes the fan work to blow cold air in cabin but wasent working hence no cold air .changed it cost me 30 dollars for RL13 to replace not 600 dollars .dam those fuse boxs and computors .later got narva grey relay from repco 10 dollars each ,changed them all and no problems to date. my 2 cents worth cheers.ps as for every thing working now, your air con ect think of it as haveing new earth conections.

Yep...they see you coming re. cost of parts.
I recently found mine was cracked...Relay #7 ..the usual. So i got intouch with Britparts UK (45c for a 15 min call...Woolies phone card). One week later the DHL man knocked on the door with a new fuse box (A$190...full of new fuses but not relays), yellow and green relays (A$8.50 each) and a new drive box for the EAS for $300. I also got a few other bits and pieces. The total courier cost was $80.
The time to replace the fuse box ...15 mins...never done it before, included a cup of coffee
Local "list" for the fuse box was $230, and wait for it: $710 for the EAS drive box...who said Ned Kelly is dead

Hi rofosixone
try Jaguar | Land Rover spare parts at British Parts UK and follow the links on the left side of the page to RR -P38A...there's a lot to explore! Their sales people are very helpful.
good luck
