Hi all, this is my first post/
I have just acquired a 1997 4.6 from a mate who has had enough. He is not mechanically minded and his rangey dropped two liners with subsequent piston damage etc. When i got the vehicle it had been partially stripped for diagnosis with just the block minus sump still in place and all stripped parts in the back and bolts in a box.
Anyway it is now back together with replacement block and all new or reconditioned components and running like a charm. When I remove a motor I tend to leave bolts and other fasteners in place or with the component which makes reassembly so much easier, however my problem with this project is that I did not start it and it turns out that I have been left with unidentified bolts.
The ones that concern me appear to be metric (they will NOT fit UNC threads on motor) 10mm x 25mm with a 13mm hex head with fairly substantial inbuilt washer.
There is six of these bolts and judging from the thread and the length they do not belong in a casting or anywhere on the motor but rather with a chassis component/bracket into captive nuts. I can not find anywhere for them, they may be blowins but they have that range rover look to them.
Does anybody have any idea where these six bolts (I suspect 2 sets of 3 bolts) belong. I have driven the vehicle and it drives beautifully.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Welcome aboard.
My guees having not looked under a rangy for 20 years is a cross member or steering gaurd removed to access the sump.
Any new bolts under there?
I can find only one bolt matching that description in the parts catalogue: Flanged bolt 10mm x 25mm P/N FS110251L
The aircon comressor uses 1

Still have not found a home for the bolts and they are definitely m10 x 25 flanged head 1.5mm pitch metric thread. Three are rather weathered and three are pretty clean which is why I figured they were used in two groups of three. The threads roots do not seem all that clean though so that may indicate they are blowins from somewhere else in the workshop where the dismantling took place.
vehicle is driving well and nothing loose or falling off so I have stopped worrying about them.
Ron B, does the parts book list ALL fasteners used?
thanks to all

There's 6 of screw-flanged M10 x 30 used to secure the oil pump inside the bellhousing so I hope it's not those.
