Weeds, what type of flare tool did you buy, a cheapy or something different. Does it form good flares. I started looking today, eh what a minefield.

Yes, I think I'll just use the camper battery as well, I don't have a lot of room on the drawbar.
Mmmmmm may have to source a flaring tool. Thanks for the thought.
Ok, are you just fitting an inline type fuse?
Pretty sure I won't bother using the breakaway.
I'll keep you posted.

i borrowed a Rigid set which is at the top end of price and all the flares have held up........i than purchased one from trades tools however i have not used it, from memory it was around $80.
when i had to replace a brake line on the defender i just got my local landie repairer to cut a piece to length, i supplied the nut and they used there tool.
do i listed the company that i ended up buying a few fitting from? if so he is extremely helpfull i ended buying a little bendy thing for the tube
brake tube pliers from this guys Wide Bay Brakehose Service Online Shop i ended up buying a few fittings plus spares.
i now carry a length of tune, double flare some nuts and tube pliers in my truck which means...............i should never rip a brake off in the bush
Thanks mate. The pliers look pretty good actually, I watched a video of a bloke bending pipe with them. You can get some nice tight bends with them.
Yeah not sure what flare tool to get, I'll keep looking.
I jagged 1 of the Alistair brake shut off valve from a bloke in Tassie for $60 delivered off ebay. He had bought it for a drag car project but never used it, so that was a pretty good score![]()
driving down the toowoomba range yesterday....the brakes work well with the car......we were behind a B Double and they go that slow that i should have engage low range
me being silly decided to play around using just the manual overide for the trailer.....it was working great until i notice a bit of smoke coming from the trailer wheels![]()
Smoke from the discs/pads or tyre smoke?
What sort of pressure does your electric over hydraulic box produce?
The brand I was looking at (HydraStar) has three different set ups for drums, discs and big discs I think, something like 1000 psi, 1200 psi and 1600 psi max.
I don't know what sort of pressure Landie discs run at so don't know if 1600 psi will be too much!
