Following this thread encouraged me to attack my droopy headlining, also having to duck to see out of the windscreen. Following my wife around Textile Traders one day I found some material which was perfect for the headlining. It was called 'Cuddly Polar Fleece' It was $7.99 a metre. Also it was on 20% discount that day! 2 cans of Selleys spray contact adhesive and I was set to go. Not hard to get headlining out even alone following the earlier tips but cleaning old foam off took some experimenting. A bristle brush, the small ones you get in a set, was most manageable to loosen the foam. Tried a vacuum to suck it up as I brushed but the stickiness of the fibreglass was a problem. Then tried an airgun while brushing and this shifted it fast. Took about half an hour to clean the whole surface. The cloth is 150cm wide but is very stretchy so fits easily. I laid the cloth over the board folded half back then sprayed the board and laid the cloth on straight away. The end result is great as the material is soft and feels just like the foam backed stuff. It comes in a grey and beige so is a good match. All for less than $50 all up.

We've just started our 35C plus days so that will be the test but the Selly's Spray Contact Adhesive seems to stick like the proverbial s*** to a blanket. The thing is the material is polyester and very light and being fluffy on both sides grabs easily. There is a right and wrong side but not easy to tell, I nearly stuck it on the wrong side , of course, but it wouldn't really notice, I think, once it is on. I think it looks and feels better than original but then I may be biased! When I learn how, I will get a pic up.
