I'd take the badge off looks like an afterthought. The badges on the grills are usually offset so seeing it in the centre makes it look weird
Enter the argument that had plagued me for several days and drew schisms between friends, family, and SWMBO
Genuine Saudi Grill has them centred
I'll do some thinking about it

TBH it was more just aesthetics rather than much practical purpose, although if it helps then I won't object.
The original grill was cracked and broken in the plastic so that also motivated me

Good on you for taking the time to do the pictorial Muppet. It's made me think twice about doing it to mine. I really like the Saudi grille and yours looks pretty close to it but it's a fair bit of faffing about with the Dremel.

I found this in case someone wants the easy option (won't look as tidy as the Saudi option I'm sure (or yours Muppet)). I'm going to order one soon and will post back with how it looks.

It's definitely a job with limited scope for error.
TBH it took me a long time, lots of stopping and starting, gathering up bits, etc.
If you're confident with a dremel, you could do all the required cutting in about 30 minutes. Would definitely help to rule some lines and have a decent cutting disk, some folks even use angle grinders.

The mesh inserts are great for keeping out grass seeds, insects, etc but I'd wager they reduce cooling if anything, which kind of put me off them.
all in all my grill was pretty ratty, so if I stuffed it then it wasn't a huge loss. But I'm pleased with it, it's holding together fine.

    Cheers
