I did put a bit of detail in the old cab swap thread, I think! But in a nutshell the soundproofing is the result of many things. Because I had the cab stripped down in covered the entire inside with Dynamat extreme. The roof also has 25mm sound absorbing open cell foam as used in dozers then the lining put back on that has been covered in interior carpet. The transmission tunnel has the army soundproofing foam,4mm rubber sheet then closed cell foam. The gearstick is wrapped in foam under the rubber boot. Front floor has floor the closed cell foam then rubber floor mats, rear floor same. Firewall has the army foam. Doors just have the dynamat as I wasn't keen on foam holding water, but I did add the new puma type bottom door seals which are a great improvement. Under bonnet has dynamat covered with 25mm ceramic coated sound absorbing foam. Behind the back seats has the factory td5 foam, and the triangle panels have the same foam as bonnet. windscreen vents are filled with foam then dynamat. Used nearly four packs of dynamat. Also blocked any hole in firewall and made sure the doors closed with no daylight visibl, had to bend top top of door frame on some doors. And battery box is also lined with dynamat and army foam, same too with top of seat box. I made new lids for under seat and battery box from the army foam covered in closed cell foam. Next is too fit a muffler as it is currently 3" straight through with just a small hotdog! Thinking of wrapping the first half of exhaust also. Will also seal up the rear window to stop it rattling as I don't need to open it. I do have photos or can take more if you want. The transmission tunnel made a big difference, but the more you do the better the result.
Cheers,
Andrew.
