Righto fellas, I've read all the posts, import arms, poly bushes, local arms, local bushes, rubber bushes. Do they ride good, do they wear out fast, are they expensive, ready to buy? The answer for me was. Go to all four x 4 in kotara Newcastle buy two rubber bushes and change em out. The day before I pulled everything apart and made sure all other bushes and ball joints etc were all good and ready to come apart, was worried bolts would be rusted up didn't want to waste money. On the way I got on eBay and found a brand new 20ton press for $215 and picked it up on the way. 1439372409100.jpg bargain! Then got home pulled it to bits was easy as. I went old school on the bush and burnt it out with a bit devil map gas kit from super cheap auto. If you don't have one of these buy one now! I set fire to the bush and kept the flame on till it was well cooking then bashed the centre out with a hammer. I then got a chisel and hit the flange of the bush away from the arm which came out easy and left only the tin skin. to remove that I took a cold chisel to it and caved it in all around then got a sharp chisel and cut the bush in half and pushed it out 1439372689368.jpg1439372720430.jpgwhile all this was going down the new bush was in freezer. Once I got arm cleaned out and all burrs removed I heated up with hot devil then sprayed with wurth cu800 ( copper coat the best type) removed bush from freezer and coated it then pressed in.all done! Both sides done on shed floor for $160 about 3 hours a side, I was in no hurry.

Few photos of my suburban shed 5.5 x 5.5 sigh. A ball joint that caught a bit of heat, held a paint scraper in front of second joint to stop that, ball joint removal, bit of heat and a bit of pressure and a good smack with hammer. Obviously refreshments

So the top photo is of the way to hit out the bush inner. The second photo is the fire required to get all this out, the bush inner with the flange is glued and rubber bonded to the tin shell so burn it out photo three shows that it started to come out and then got hard so I added more fire
Last photo is of the bush folded up ready to cut and push out.
NOW I FORGOT TO ADD AT THE START USE A CHISEL AND MARK THE HOUSING WHERE THE FLANGE HAS A GAP, THIS IS THE BUSH ORIENTATION AND THE NEW BUSH NEEDS TO BE IN SAME PLACE
