So the roof will peak at about 400 mm from the rear. At that point the height is 145 mm I will dock the legs of the roof stiffener down to suit

Didn't go as well as I first V8 county ute, as I reduced the height of the stiffener I also reduced the radius.
All as not lost as the stiffeners have riveted gal feet that I can adjust the length.
Just trying to work out how to tighten up the radius on the stiffeners, probably just use a BFH.V8 county ute

For tightening up the radius, if you've got a press just knock up a rough bender in the same style as one of the cheap hydraulic pipe benders.
Just a bit of round stock on the ram (larger the better) and a couple of pieces of round (or ideally flat on a rod that can rotate as the radius changes) to go underneath with a gap in between..
Like this but upside down and don't need the round press dies since your stiffener has flats.TTI - Pipe Bender 12T - PB12 | Total Tools

Just press a little, move along, press a little, rinse and repeat until you have the radius you need.

Much more controllable than the BFH.

I'm not really happy with the shape, I want the rear to stand up a bit more.
I've been hitting it with all sorts of hammers and dollys but truth is my experience on the matter is watching Peach and Tomasini on ch31 a couple of years ago.

Hi DeeJay I've been through your project s number of times. V8 county ute for the inspiration.
Don't know if anybody picked up my school boy error.
On my last fit up I was using the series roof off cut and was dissatisfied with the rear , because it was the front.
Notice the lack of markings. On the previous rear piece

The roof is driving me 🥜
I've been on it all day and although I am progressing I'm still nowhere near satisfied.
I can't get the corners of series roof up enough and although I can pull down the county roof in the centre the radius on the edge won't pull in.
I pulled the series roof from the frame and beat the inside edge to create more of a corner and was lucky to get it back on.
This is why panel beating is a trade. And not my trade.
