yeah was thinking some bunnings style vents on the back of the case (between the cab and the tray) those cases seal so well!!

What a day!!
Wiring fixed under the tray and a new earth strap was added. Block and tackle worked a treat getting the tray back on and it only sagged an 1" in the rear with the 220lb springs which is great!! i had 2 spares and my 100kg mate on the back it still sat very flat and it gave me a chance to test the air bag coils so all it good in the ass end! did a little damage to the paint work on the tray as it's still very fresh but no big deal.
:o:o What's it look like now...its almost January..
You really want to know??

it's getting a new donk! and chassis so i dont have to engineer the engine mounts..... will post more pics as i start to pull the disco down.... if anyone wants any disco parts let me know as i have the rear 1/2 is all for sale including 3 rd of seats
Mick
Gee Mick!
You sure are a gluton for hard work :D
So your putting the Rangie on the Disco Chassis???
Why???
simple answer is 'because i can' but the truth is because my time is worth less then paying someone to re engineer my chassis for a 300 tdi and it gets me out of 2 weeks worth of domestic duties around the house so my ute is ready for when i go back to work next year :D:D:D:D
ok no idea how many days it is but the project has taken i slight change.... i now have a 300tdi for the ute.....
it's a bit scary atm but LR kinda got a few things right with the disco such as a wiring loom that can be taken out and for my sake re fitted!
the plan is to swap the rangie shell over to the disco chassis and 'graft' the dash and interior into the rangie also.... and if the engineer lets me all the 'straight' panels also making it a 'Landrover RRISCO'
anyway here are some pics
